Before COVID, I tried to get my dual citizenship on my own. I made appointments with the Mexican Consulate here is LA, I brought all the documentation and what was required of me as it was listed on… the consulate website (there is only one) and was given the run around when it came time to my appointment. I was told I was missing all these documents that were never listed as requirements, lost a whole day of work and it was just a huge waste of time, not to mention discouraging. I was so satisfied with the dual citizenship process. I submitted my documents and received my dual citizenship within 5 weeks.My only complaint is the passport application process. I paid for two… appointments (one for my sister and myself). I did not obtain the appointment for the date and time I requested, which I understand, but then my sister made the appointments for us and we obtained our passports on our own. I emailed DNE to obtain a refund for both appointments since the we did not utilize their services. Instead of a refund they made new appointments for us. I emailed them again and advised them that we no longer needed the appointments and was still seeking a refund. I received no response. I then called them twice and still have not received a response.I’m really disappointed because I truly appreciated the dual citizenship process, it was efficient and easy. However, it feels like once that process is over they don’t seem to care about communication or customer service. I’m extremely disappointed and will continue to seek that refund.100 percent recommend them for the dual citizenship process but make your own appointments, it may be a pain but it’s free.Update: DNE saw this review and refunded my payment. I'm super pleased with DNE. After my free consultation to see if I was eligible, and submitting all of my documents, they took care of the whole process of helping me become a Mexican citizen in just… 3 weeks! I read a lot of articles/opinions online about how much work it could be doing the process by yourself, and I personally didn't want to deal with that as I work full-time, and didn't mind paying the fee for the service. To me, it's worth avoiding that headache going through it by myself. Also, I'm pretty sure doing it by myself would have taken potentially a LOT longer. They've been super friendly and responsive. After getting your Mexican birth certificate, you can pay $20 to have them help you setup an appointment at a consulate to get your Mexican passport. It feels so unreal until this day that I got my dual citizenship. Please save your time and invest your money with someone like him who can help you.One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. After… so many excuses, the consulate from Los Angeles gave me and almost giving up. I was trying to do this process on my own & they made it impossible each time with new reasons why I couldn’t process the paperwork. One was because my parents were not together, and somehow they both had to be present for me to do the process. Not only that, but it’s also challenging to get an appointment.Everything was done by email & WhatsApp. I paid him half to start the process and the other half once the process was over on Zelle.He answered any question, and he is very nice and someone you can talk to with any questions you have.read more
